Google Rolls out New Update to the General Webmasters Guidelines

General guidelines in the Webmaster Guidelines by Google are the first thing considered by the webmasters around the world. With these guidelines, the webmasters can easily understand the do’s and don’ts of the SEO practices and take their decisions accordingly. Focussing on the general guidelines regarding the quality of web pages and website, the new update tells webmasters ways to help Google find web pages, what they are about, steps to make web pages suitable for the website visitors.

Making changes in the first section of Guidelines, Google switched

“Following these guidelines will help Google find, index, and rank your site. Even if you choose not to implement any of these suggestions, we strongly encourage you to pay very close attention to the “Quality Guidelines.””

To

You can see the significant change made in this one.

Although, Google has not made any significant change in the content of Do’s and Don’ts but they did tried to refresh the introductory part as well as adding lots of examples. This will definitely help the webmasters to understand the content of the guidelines very well.
